Akpabio Empowers Constituents, Says Nigeria Was On Life Support Before Tinubu
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has distributed empowerment items, including cars to royal fathers to mark the Yuletide season.
Flagging off the distribution of items which included vehicles, cargo tricycles, tricycles, mini buses, sewing machines, deep freezers, bags of rice at Ikot Ekpene Sports Stadium, Akpabio called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu’s reforms, saying Nigeria was on life support before he came to power.
“President Tinubu met a very bad condition on the ground. Nobody envied him, but he is determined to change the situation. He did it in Lagos before, and he will do it again for Nigeria. Let us give him time to take us to our El Dorado.” He said
Recounting his conversation with the president, Akpabio shared, “One day I asked him, ‘Mr. President, after seeing the state of the economy left behind by Emefiele, are you excited?’ He replied, ‘I am determined to change the situation.’”
Akpabio, who represents Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, commended Tinubu’s inclusiveness in governance. He highlighted the president’s focus on impactful projects and the establishment of regional development commissions across the country, aimed at addressing regional challenges and empowering citizens.
