This was a common culture when we were growing up. The teen parents of the soon to be born child would be forced to legally marry. The idea was usually forced on the soon to be parents to make sure the expected child was 100% legal (under cultural and inheritance rules).
Many of our local families had a long history of this situation, some couples hated each other just because they found themselves in an arrangement they never wanted...
Aside narratives on consequences which was the most explanation to it, what do you think? Some people later dropped this idea.... some families will opt to take care of this child but will not marry their son/daughter... What are your tots
