Nina Kwande, the founder of the Fashion Academy Abuja has said that her journey into the fashion industry began with a desire to transform the way clothing is produced and perceived in Nigeria.
Kwande in an interview said that she realized that clothes were being made poorly, and she wanted to change that by creating high-quality garments and teaching others how to do the same, stressing that she is revolutionizing the fashion industry through education and empowerment.
“In 2010, I took the bold step of founding The Fashion Academy Abuja, with the mission of providing quality fashion education and empowering aspiring designers to succeed. Despite facing numerous challenges, including skepticism from those who didn’t believe fashion was a viable profession, I persevered as a result of the passion I have for fashion and education.
She noted that today, The Fashion Academy Abuja is a leading institution in fashion education, offering a range of courses from apparel production to business management.
